Learning about Dr Seuss is always so much fun. We read his books throughout the school year, but especially leading up to Dr. Seuss’ Birthday. He has so many amazing books, that I honestly can’t choose my favorite. I love doing activities along side reading the books. I wanted to share with you these fun Dr Seuss One Fish Two Fish Activities for counting and graphing.
Dr Seuss One Fish Two Fish Activities
I have included 2 different activities in this set to work on counting, one to one correspondence, and graphing. As soon as I busted out the goldfish crackers, the kids were hooked! Can you really go wrong when you learn with snack foods?! ?
Dr. Seuss Goldfish Graphing
I am in love with this activity. It worked so well for teaching counting and graphing. The students were so engaged since we were using goldfish crackers. I gave them each a bowl of crackers that they used to count out the different colors. They then graphed how many of each color they had. We will be doing this activity every year. It was so much fun.
Dr. Seuss Goldfish Counting
This was a perfect one to one correspondence activity. We put a number card on the page, and then counted out the corresponding number of goldfish into the bowl. Not only was it fun, but super effective at reinforcing our math objectives.

Dr Seuss Craft for Preschool or Kindergarten
When I teach about Dr Seuss’ Birthday, I don’t just want to focus on his books. I want to branch out and incorporate it with math activities and art projects. We make an entire week out learning about Dr. Seuss and we have a blast doing it.
