10 Fat Turkeys
This is one of our favorite Thanksgiving books. It’s a silly rhyming book that teaches children to count backwards from 10. The turkeys do silly things throughout the book that keep kids interested and laughing.
Twas the Night Before Thanksgiving
‘Twas the Night before…any holiday have always been some of our favorite books to read. This one did not disappoint! Children go on a field trip to a farm and meet turkeys. It’s heartwarming to see the ways the children rescue the turkeys from their fate and learn that there is so much to be thankful for.
Five Silly Turkeys
This is a simple and cute rhyming book that is great for toddlers and preschoolers. The turkeys do very silly things and we count backwards from five.
Pinkalicious: Thanksgiving Helper
We love the Pinkalicious books! This is a cute story where Pinkalicious and her brother, Peter help with Thanksgiving.
Turkey Trouble
This is an adorably funny book about a turkey who wears different disguises to not be the main course on Thanksgiving! It has a super cute ending and is definitely worth getting.
I Know an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Pie
Have you ever read these rhyming books? They’re hilarious and fun! In this version, the old lady swallows a squash, salad, cider, and entire turkey and more! Our children love reading this book and request it over and over!
The Night Before Thanksgiving
This is a cute rhyming story about getting ready for Thanksgiving. The family prepares for the feast and relatives visiting. A simple, fun read for kids.
The Berenstain Bear’s Thanksgiving Blessings
I grew up reading the Berenstain Bears books and I have always loved the. They can be a bit long, but the stories are always fun. Brother and sister bear learn all about things that they can be thankful for this Thanksgiving. This is a great educational story.
Being Thankful
We have most of Mercer Mayer’s Little Critter books. They are always adorably fun reads. In this book, Little Critter isn’t getting anything he wants and he is very upset about it. His grandpa teaches him all about gratitude and being thankful.
Thanksgiving is for Giving Thanks
This is a quick and easy read all about being thankful for every day things. It’s full of great lessons for children and adorable illustrations.
